Course Description
Behavior management is often cited as one of the primary obstacles to success in therapy with toddlers and preschoolers. In each session, the therapist must continuously assess the child’s readiness for learning and determine when to focus on the relationship and when to focus on building new skills. This course will address three primary topics: determining the function of challenging behaviors, gaining strategies to address challenging behaviors, and knowing when to refer to a behavior therapist for additional support. Join Cari, a pediatric speech-language pathologist, and Tara, a board-certified behavior analyst, as they join forces to address the complex issue of behavior management.
